NAICONS takes part in the Horizon Europe projects MAGic-MOLFUN and BREAKthrough

We are very pleased to announce that NAICONS takes part in two new projects funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network:

Starting in early 2023, both projects will train early stage researchers in Europe to develop and apply novel tools to identify bioactive molecules and to address serious and global problems of antibiotic resistance.

MAGic-MOLFUN will focus on the next generation of specialists through an educational program combining wet-lab and computational skills to integrate genome mining and metabolomics with cutting-edge pathway discovery and engineering approaches.
BREAKthrough will concentrate on the benefit of integrated multidisciplinary approaches to kill Gram-negative bacteria through existing antibiotics, by making their outer membrane permeable.

NAICONS will be part of this two outstanding research projects by hiring two Early Stage Researchers (ESR).
Both ESRs are expected to apply cutting-edge methodologies and gain boost from micro4all, NAICONS’ powerful technology platform, based on microbial products..
