Alessa Sauter earned her BSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the Technical University of Dresden, with a thesis exploring microbial interactions in the context of natural product biosynthesis, and a MSc in Microbiology at the University of Tübingen, investigating the biosynthesis and resistance mechanism of a novel antibiotic. Currently, her PhD project focuses on applying paired-omics analyses to discover novel bacterial natural products.
